Stetson Centennial Celebration

Canceled

Stetson Centennial Celebration
October 2016 Beluthahatchee and FSCJ

A Message from Stetson Kennedy Foundation: Good afternoon Stetson Kennedy supporters. I hope you all are faring well given the recent hurricane.

We regret being a bearer of more bad news in a time when we are surrounded by so much bad news in our area, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel the private concert at Beluthahatchee.

Hurricane Matthew knocked down trees around the property and those trees took down powerlines to the park. Stetson's home and the Hart House are intact and nobody was hurt. However, because of the power and the felled trees, the county has closed the park and canceled all events planned there at this time.

We worked with St. Johns County to relocate the event to the Amphitheatre Back Room, but the organizers bringing Billy Bragg and Sarah Lee Guthrie to town canceled the MagFest event due to other complications presented by Hurricane Matthew, which makes our event impossible.

We were so looking forward to sharing this special evening with you and are profoundly saddened to have to cancel it. HUGE thanks to D'Vine Cuisine, Ice Plant Bar and the St. Augustine Distillery for being great sponsors. We will get to work creating an equally exciting event in the future and will let you know as we get those plans together.

When we cancel the event on Eventbrite, any tickets you purchased should be refunded and you should receive a notification of that from Eventbrite. That email should follow today or tomorrow.

Feel free to reach out to Jon Bosworth at weathercat@gmail.com if you have refund issues or to Karen Roumillat at karenroumillat@gmail.com if you are interested in helping us through this with any donations etc. Stay tuned to stetsonkennedy.comand the Stetson Kennedy Foundation Facebook page for details on those events.

Thanks again for your support.
